Spring is Here!
Spring has certainly blown into Texas like a lion this year! It has been a little too exciting with the weather bouncing from 80+ degrees, to nearly freezing, to fire danger and severe storm danger, sometimes overnight! I have been blessed though, and other than our belongings being thrown about, we are safe, and our home is undamaged. Others in our community were not so lucky, along with many others around the U.S. that are experiencing crazy weather. My hope is that this month’s newsletter finds you well and safe!

I am so excited to announce my return to YouTube!! I started my channel back in 2018 when I was getting ready to release Scraps of Love, and I am so thrilled to be returning. I’ll be posting new videos every Friday, starting today with an update on my writing and personal journey from the past two years! I can’t believe it has been that long since I last filmed (how time flies!). YouTube has always been my favorite social media platform, so if you want to stay up to date, be sure to follow me there, as well as on Facebook.

This month, I had the privilege of attending a presentation by author Roma Johnson Holley about her book, Surviving the Storm Through the Wind of the Spirit: My Journey Through Grief. Roma is such a beautiful soul, and her book is a deeply moving tribute to her son, Zachary, who tragically passed away in a car wreck at age 21. Her poetry and reflections on grief are raw, honest, and inspirational - if you haven’t had the chance to read her book, please add it to your TBR - it is a must read. It is available in paperback, hardcover and eBook over on Amazon.

On My Desk
After about fifteen title variations, I have finally settled on a title for my self-care project: Sacred Renewal: Embracing the Biblical Design for Self-Care. This book blew into my spirit as I was navigating the hardships that took over my life this past summer, and it explores how self-care aligns with growing in our faith and our calling. This style of writing is new to me, but my personal growth in understanding this topic has been so lifechanging that I had to share it. Sacred Renewal will be releasing July 24, 2025, in celebration of Self-Care Month.
